Having already written a preview blog for Rianna and Will, it seems only fair to blog about how they put together their amazing Houchins Farm Wedding! All of the photographs from that special day reflect a wedding that was so full of joy, celebration and the most beautiful details. They worked alongside dedicated and talented suppliers who brought their day together seamlessly, as I’m sure they have done countless times before. Rianna and Will were so obviously perfect together and spent the day grinning at each other and their friends and family around them. I almost wish I could go back to this Houchins Farm Wedding and do it all over again! Check out what Rianna and Will said about their own day...
Can you describe your wedding in fewer than 10 words?
The perfect day to celebrate with all of our friends and family
Where did you find your suppliers? (Blogs, magazines, recommendations?)
Mainly recommendations from friends
How did you choose your photographer?
He’s a friend of a friends and also photographed their wedding a couple of years before so we knew his photos would be amazing.
Were you pleased with James as your wedding photographer?
Honestly, we couldn’t have asked for more from a wedding photographer. He made everyone feel at ease and ended up feeling more like an old friend, having fun with everyone else but still capturing every single incredible moment.
What made you go for a Houchins Farm Wedding?
It was definitely worth having everything all in one, beautiful place and paying extra for the farmhouse onsite for our close family and friends to stay over
Wedding dress designer and bridal boutique:
My mum – Lyn Smith!
Tell us about your accessories: jewellery, shoes and anything else!
Because I saved money on my wedding dress I did splash out on some incredible designer shoes but they were well worth it!
And what did the groom wear?
A simple 3-piece suit
Beautiful bridesmaids: what did your best girls wear?
I didn’t want things looking too weddingy so my bridesmaids all chose their own individual dresses in different jewel colours
Hair and make-up – did you DIY or hire a professional?
It was definitely worth hiring a professional – Zoe from Knot your Average Bride, did an incredible job and was a pleasure to have around the morning of the wedding, keeping everyone calm
Describe your wedding flowers. Who arranged them for you?
We mainly went for foliage rather than flowers. Our florist was Lauren Wilson and she did an absolutely incredible job of managing to bring to life exactly what we had in our heads (despite us having absolutely zero knowledge about flowers)
Words of wisdom: share your best piece of advice for other couples:
